Project Overview

Integrated Flow Solutions was contracted by Petrofac, LLC to design and supply a gas sweetening system that would remove H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) from natural gas for use as a fuel for 3 engines and one steam boiler.  Russian Energy Company Gazprom Neft is the international oil company with concessions to operate this field.

  • 2 Skids, each rated for 6 Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day (MMSCFD)
  • Original inlet product: 4.5% H2S (45,000 PPM)
  • Outlet product: 1000 parts per million (PPM) H2S for gas engines and 1500 PPM for steam boiler

The Challenge 

Sour natural gas containing significant amounts of H2S is often a problem at work sites without access to clean gas. In 2013 Integrated Flow Solutions was contracted to manufacture a system that would remove H2S from natural gas for the Gazprom Neft newly acquired oil field in Eastern Iraq.

The IFS Solution

Integrated Flow Solutions Fuel Gas Conditioning Membrane Packages are designed to optimize natural gas for engines and turbines by removing H2S, H2O and CO2. IFS manufactured and shipped an entire Gas Sweetening plant, which used Porogen Membranes for H2S removal. The system (see slideshow) included complete gas conditioning followed by membranes to purify and sweeten the gas for uses as fuel.  This gas met the specific requirements of the users.

Integrated Flow Solutions (IFS) is proud to announce a new joint venture with longtime partners Craymond Nigeria Ltd., a well known Nigerian engineering & construction company, and a supplier for a variety of petroleum industry  related engineered products.

“We have been working towards a goal of building pump and process skids in Nigeria for a while now, but this step hopefully will be a definite signal to our customers that we’re serious too about Nigeria content,” said the new joint venture president, Austin Chinda.

IFS is a global process engineering company specializing in the design of modular “Engineered-to-Order,”  process packages for the  O&G industry. Our packaged systems are designed to  operate in remote locations and under harsh conditions.

Integrated Flow Solutions is excited to announce that we have expanded sales coverage to the Middle East. Murad Basaria (click here to contact us) has been promoted to cover the Middle East with focus on Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Iraq. Murad is a degreed chemical engineer and who has been working for IFS for 10+ years.

Following recent opportunities in the Middle East and the development of countries such as Iraq, Qatar, and Oman IFS has focused efforts to find and explore energy related projects in that region.
