IFS Appoints New Director of Global Sales, Domestic & International

July 26, 2016 Welcome

Integrated Flow Solutions (IFS) is pleased to announce that Juan Patino has been promoted to the position of Sales Director. As Sales Director, Juan will be responsible for the domestic and International sales: both direct sales and sales originating from IFS’s network of sales representatives worldwide.

As the first Sales Director for IFS, Juan will lead the company’s efforts in developing and implementing unique sales strategies that leverage IFS’s engineering depth and global presence.

“Industrial process projects are rarely handled on a local basis today, Juan says. “Instead, they now happen on a global basis. For example, the new norm can involve the design, engineering and manufacture of process equipment in the US for an offshore project in West Africa, that is managed by a European or American operator and integrated in the final process system by a shipyard in South Korea.”

“On a regular basis, a project in the Middle East can include European contractors, Southeast Asian fabricators and equipment procured from around the world. So our strategies need to be global.”

“The fact that we have an office in Dubai, gives us a great platform to serve the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) region directly, as well as for supporting our sales representative network in West Africa and the Asia Pacific region. This from a sales as well as a service point of view.”

Explains Juan, referring to IFS’s joint office with sister company Best PumpWorks in Dubai, “The partnership with PumpWorks in itself gives us a great advantage through access to both an API-610 (PumpWorks 610) as well as an ANSI (PumpWorks Industrial) centrifugal pump lines.”

“As for the Americas, the plan is to consolidate our long-standing position as a leader in modular process packages in Northern and Latin America. We have a first-class sales force based in Texas and Colorado, as well as a network of agents throughout the region. In addition to this, we have the unique advantage of having access to over 180 service centers from our parent company, DXP Enterprises. This gives us the ability to reach our client sites for service and support within hours. No other company in our industry has access to a service network like this.”

Juan started with IFS in 1996 as an Applications and Project Engineer Apprentice and successfully moved up to International Applications Engineer, then to Regional Sales Manager, to Market Manager and now Director of Global Sales.

He has spent 15 years in Latin America sales (Mexico and South America), 1 and a half sales West Africa and South East Asia, and now global sales.

Juan has Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Germany. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and German. And he loves to travel.
