Integrated Flow Solutions Modular Joule Thompson (JT) Plants use a drop in gas pressure to create a gas chilling effect which makes them self-refrigerated.
This causes heavier hydrocarbons to be condensed out of the gas, allowing the residue gas to meet the pipeline BTU specification. The recovered liquids are then stored for fractionation into propane, butane and even natural gasoline.
